ABOUT OUR COLLEGE

Binoda Law College is an educational Institution affiliated to the Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol & approved by the Bar Council of India. It provides 5 years integrated course of B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) & 3 years LL.B. (Hons.). The programmes seek to promote multi-disciplinary analysis of the socio-legal problems. Our University’s course-structure and teaching methods designed to realize and achieve these objectives in a practical manner. The methods of teaching in our college include lecture, discussions, soft-skill, case law analysis, personality development, moot court training, seminars, project-assignment and placement programmes. In addition, our college organizes Legal aid programmes on contemporary legal issues, conducts clinical courses and trains students in legal research and legal writing. By the time a student completes the 5 years B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) & 3 years LL.B.(Hons.) programmes he or she will be fully equipped with the required theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of law to become a full-fledged responsible member of the legal regime.

Our college magazine (PRUDENTIA) provides space to our students to express their views on Law and Mutli- disciplinary subjects. We also subscribed to daily newspapers that facilitate students to improve their knowledge around the globe.

Seminar Hall

Our college seminar hall is well-equipped with smart T.V cum smart monitor, sound systems and projector facilities that helps student for proper training, presentations and lectures. Seminar halls are totally air-conditioned and hold a seminar hall capacity of more than 100 individuals.

Our campus is fully free from ragging. We have zero tolerance towards any kind of ragging practice and a separate committee to take due care of anti ragging measures.

Kazi Nazrul University

Kazi Nazrul University is a State University in Asansol, West Bengal. The university has been named after the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. The university was established under Kazi Nazrul University Act, 2012. Assent of the Governor was first published in the Kolkata gazette, extraordinary 16 August 2012.

There was a demand for a university in the area from a long time. The setting up of Kazi Nazrul University was primarily intended at responding to these local-material needs of democratizing higher education, outside of urban-metropolitan centers of cultural dominance. Professor Anuradha Mukhopadhyay, the first Vice Chancellor, assumed office on 3 December 2012 at the Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA) building. On 10 January 2013, the Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Smt. Mamata Banerjee laid the foundation stone of Kazi Nazrul University on its own campus, close to the birthplace of Kazi Nazrul Islam at Churulia, 31 kilometres away from the city of Asansol.

B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 60 seats 5 Year

B.A LL.B (Hons.)

Eligibility :- Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) in any stream. (Minimum- 45% Marks)

The Bachelor of Arts - Bachelor of Legislative Law (B.A. LL.B. (Hons.)) course is an integrated law degree that the law aspirants can pursue right after qualifying their Class 12th examinations. The law degree is an integration of Arts and Law subjects and is of five-years duration. Therefore, as part of the BA LLB course, the candidates study subjects including Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology along with law subjects like Civil Law, Criminal Law, Labour Law, Tax Law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law, Patent Law etc. The course-curriculum of BA LLB degree is such that law, as well as, the arts subjects, are included in each semester. Moreover, candidates are taught about law case studies, moot courts, law internships, seminars and interactions with retired judges from High courts and the Supreme Court of India.

Eligibility :- Any Graduate. (Minimum- 45% Marks)

LLB is a three-year Bachelor of Law degree that is offered to aspirants by many renowned colleges in India. However, candidates can pursue this law course only if they possess a graduation degree. The three-year LL.B. (Hons.) course offered at all law colleges of India is regulated and closely supervised by the Bar Council of India (BCI).The three-year law course is structured in such a way that the curriculum is divided into six semesters. Candidates are awarded the degree only when they complete all the semesters of this three-year LL.B. (Hons.) course.
